In a major push towards Gujarat’s industrial and smart city future, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recently visited the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) to review its ongoing mega infrastructure projects. During his visit, CM Patel reviewed critical projects shaping Dholera’s transformation, including:

  • Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway: Now 95% complete, this high-speed corridor is set to significantly reduce travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera SIR.
  • Plug-and-play Infrastructure: Roads, underground utility ducts, and smart ICT infrastructure are now operational.
  • 300 MW Solar Park: Fully commissioned, this renewable energy project underscores Dholera’s commitment to sustainable development.

Additionally, completed essential utilities now include:

  • Water Treatment Plant
  • Sewage Treatment Plant
  • Common Effluent Treatment Plant
  • Advanced ICT (Information & Communication Technology) systems

These facilities provide a robust backbone for industries, real estate, and commercial growth.

🌇 Semicon City: Gujarat’s Semiconductor Hub in the Making

Under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Gujarat government is developing Dholera Smart City as a “Semicon City”—a future-ready zone for semiconductor fabrication and manufacturing. Top global and Indian semiconductor companies are already setting up their bases in this advanced ecosystem.

A key component of this plan is the Tata Electronics semiconductor facility, which CM Patel personally visited to assess construction of its plant infrastructure. He also visited the Dholera International Airport site, where terminal, cargo building, and runway construction is underway at a cost of ₹1,350 crore.

The CM’s review also included updates on:

  • 192-bed multi-specialty hospital
  • Class 12-level school
  • Fire station facilities
  • Investor housing development
  • Bhimnath-Dholera freight railway line
